Actually, I'm asking the question because, as a homeschooling mom, I'm trying to figure it out for myself. I know each of you have your own ideas, thoughts, and insights. Please share in the comments section below so we can all learn from one another. Thanks!
While on this journey, I want to purposefully recognize how God is working in my life, trusting that it will encourage others on the same path. Although we, as humans, tend to think of blessings as positive or good, many times God's blessings are disguised as other than "good" in our eyes. Nevertheless, these blessings I once heard referred to as little kisses from God. Soli Deo Gloria!

Have an interest - even develop a passion - for what they love. My boys are into Roblox. I.am.not. But - They want to learn graphics and advertising and sales. So - we spend time nurturing those desires.
ReplyDeleteOne thing a coach told me - was to always praise. Praise honestly through the whole learning experience. Then, Only find ONE thing to critique - and critique in a way that helps them find a way to do it better. So - the boy writes a poem or note to grandma - Let it go out the mail. Maybe ask if he remembers that the first letter of each sentence gets a Cap. Little by little they will want to change the one thing at time. And as homeschoolers - that's what we have - Time. :)
Thanks for sharing, Angie! Great ideas.
