Little Girls Gone Wild: Why Daughters Are Acting Too Sexy, Too Soon
I couldn't help sharing this article as it really challenged me to think. Click the link above to read it yourself.
What are my parenting goals as a Christian? To bring up godly girls who love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, minds and strength, not hotties so that all eyes will be on them! Hope this article challenges you to think about all the many choices that are facing us today as parent! May we, as Christian moms, have the courage to make the right decisions for our children, not the popular decisions.
Blessings!

While on this journey, I want to purposefully recognize how God is working in my life, trusting that it will encourage others on the same path. Although we, as humans, tend to think of blessings as positive or good, many times God's blessings are disguised as other than "good" in our eyes. Nevertheless, these blessings I once heard referred to as little kisses from God. Soli Deo Gloria!
Some days it makes me sigh and praise God that I only have boys. And Yet, the images of these girls bombards them constantly. The clothing and choices that they make - tease and toy with their natural God given desires. We talk about it. Alot. We change the channel, Alot. We don't watch commercials. They are horid. Sigh. I sit back and wonder - where this constant barage of visual stimulation will bring our next generation. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteYes Angie, it's sad, but on a more positive note, I'm glad to hear from you. I've been absent from the blogging world for a few months - trying to get settled in a new state after living in AL my entire life. I guess this post would be a huge reminder to me of how we must totally rely on the Lord to draw our children closer to Him each and every day. May God give wisdom to each of us who desire to raise children who love the Lord.
